Hi, I am Lucija.

I grew up on an island in the former Yugoslavia during the war. I was seven when it started, thirteen when it ended. For stretches of that time, there was no school, no electricity, no running water – just the constant sound of bombs and the task of getting through each day.

Getting an education meant taking a ferry to the mainland every morning and back every evening for four years of high school.  I went on to university in the capital, then moved to Dublin to complete my second master’s degree, working full-time while studying full-time, funding everything myself. I moved between countries, knowing no one, figuring it out on my own. Then London, Berlin, and London again, where I’ve been for eight years.

I’ve been working in ML/AI long before it was a dinner party conversation.

Here, I’ll write about what I’m building, learning, and what I am curious about.
